Procedure text adalah text yang mengungkapkan bagaimana melakukan atau membuat sesuatu. Text tersebut menjadi panduan bagi pembaca untuk menyelesaikan suatu tugas melalui serangkaian langkah.

Procedure text adalah text yang mengungkapkan bagaimana melakukan atau membuat sesuatu. Text tersebut menjadi panduan bagi pembaca untuk menyelesaikan suatu tugas melalui serangkaian langkah.
Contoh penggunaan procedure text antara lain:
- recipe (resep makanan)
- itenerary (rencana perjalanan)
- instruction manual (manual pengguna)
Struktur Procedure Text
Procedure text terdiri dari tiga bagian umum:

| Introductory Paragraph or Title | Introductory paragraph (paragraf pembuka) atau hanya title (judul) yang menyatakan tujuan dari procedure. |
| List of Material | Daftar bahan/alat yang dibutuhkan untuk menyelesaikan procedure yang dapat berupa daftar, paragraf, atau tidak disebutkan. |
| Sequence of Steps | Serangkaian langkah untuk menyelesaikan procedure dengan urutan yang tepat. |
B.Contoh Procedur text
Cara Membuat Telur Mata Sapi
Bahan-bahan:
- Siapkan telur satu buah
- Siapkan garam secukupnya
- Siapkan juga mentega atau minyak goreng
Alat:
- Siapkan kompor
- Siapkan penggorengan seperti wajan atau tefon
- Siapkan juga spatula
- Siapkan piring
Cara Membuat:
- Untuk langkah pertama, nyalakan api dengan ukuran yang sedang saja.
- Kemudian langkah yang selanjutnya ialah dengan meletakkan wajan dan Tefon di atas kompor tersebut. Masukan mentega dan tunggu hingga meleleh dan panas.
- Lalu pecah telur dan tuangkan isi telur ke dalam wajan, jangan lupa untuk menambah garam secukupnya.
- Agar telur dapat matang secara sempurna, Anda bisa membalik telur dengan menggunakan spatula.
- Jika telur sudah matang, angkat lalu tiriskan sebentar agar nantinya minyak dapat hilang. Kemudian letakkan di atas piring, dan telur mata sapi pun sudah siap untuk di sajikan.

HOW TO CLEAN A REFRIGERATOR
1. Remove all frozen foods and ice cube trays. If you have a second refrigerator, use it to temporary store these items. If not, put the food in a cardboard box and cover it with newspaper. Dump the ice cubes.
2. Removes all other food stuff and place on your kitchen counter or in cardboard boxes.
3. Either turn the temperature control "defrost" or unplug the electricity to the refrigerator (or both).

You will need:
• 2 cups of rolled oats
• 1,5 cups of caster sugar
• 4 tablespoons of golden syrup
• 2 tablespoons of boiling water
• 1 cup of plain flour
• 250 grams of butter
• 1 teaspoon of baking soda
Steps:
1. Turn on the oven 160o C.
2. Lightly grease an oven tray.
3. Mix oats, flour and sugar in a large bowl.
4. Melt butter and golden syrup in a pan.
5. Mix baking soda and boiling water in a cup.
6. Add this mixture to melted butter and golden syrup.
7. Add this to the oats mixture in the large bowl, mix together well.
8. Roll tablespoonfuls of the mixture into balls. Put on the try 5 cm apart.
9. Press lightly on top of each with a fork.
10. Bake for 20 minutes.

How to make a pencil case
Steps:
1. Choose the size you want. If you want to put longer items, such as a ruler, placed in your pencil case, you'll need a longer pencil case.
2. Find a bag or box that suitable with your choice of size. It doesn't have be nice looking, but strong and clean.
3. Cover the box with paper, any color.
4. Decorate the container. Try some or all of the following ideas.
- Put on same cool sticker.
- Decorate with your own art with makers: draw lines, shapes, animals, people, etc.
- Cut some magazine pictures and stick them on it.
- Totally cover the box with wrapping paper; and
- Glue on shells, buttons, or anything else you want to decorate the pencil case with. Add glitter if you like.
5. Show all your friends, and be proud of your unique pencil case.
